Best Healthy Meal for People On-the-Go in West Palm Beach

by Michelle
As someone who loves travel and eats to feel good (obviously it needs to taste good too :), anytime I can find an easy, to-go option that’s convenient and nourishing, I’m quick to try it! JarDen salad vending machines in West Palm Beach are just that! A healthy meal (or snack) while on-the-go and exploring West Palm Beach!

A Salad Vending Machine?!

You heard me right! JarDen has two vending machines in West Palm Beach that are refrigerated vessels for delicious, healthy food options while you’re exploring either the Palm Beach Outlets or shops down on Worth Ave. Don’t worry – everything looked, tasted, and smelled completely fresh! Nothing was sketchy. No soggy greens here! And, the dressing was kept in a separate container, too!

Pro Tip:

If you go on a weekend, make sure to hit up the vending machine at the Outlets BEFORE the lunchtime rush. I went twice during the early afternoon and was disappointed to see most options were sold out 🙁

Also, I got a little lost looking for the one on Worth Avenue on Palm Beach Island. It’s in the Esplanade on the ground level pretty much at the entrance of the parking garage directly off Worth Ave, next to the restrooms.

What Kind of Options are There?

Both machines were stocked with garden fresh salads in a jar (hence the name of the company – JarDen), wraps, extra toppings ( ex. extra chicken), and beverages (including my favorite, local, clean energy drink Celsius, water, and tea).

There were multiple types of salads with various ingredients. The one I tried was the “Jarden of Life” with almonds, craisins, mint, arugula, spinach, quinoa, feta cheese, tomatoes, and a basil honey (homemade) dressing that was TO DIE FOR! You can access the menu via a huge touch screen and see all the ingredients before you buy, so you know exactly what you’re getting!

What about Pricing?

I honestly don’t remember exactly how much I paid for my salad, but I believe it was ~$10. For me, feeling good while on-the-go is worth it rather than spending a few bucks less for a mediocre option at a fast food chain only to feel yucky for hours afterwards.

Have you visited one of these machines yet? If so, which one and what’d you get?
